Had a photo shoot at the office today and my little man Jaxx decided he was running things. I spend most of my day surrounded by screens, writing code, building AI tools, and honestly, I’m deeper into technology than I’ve ever been in my life. And I love it! It’s changed the way I practice pharmacy and the way I think about healthcare. But I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t keep me up at night sometimes. Not for me. For him. I think one of the greatest gifts you can give a child is the ability to think critically. To sit with a hard question. To struggle through a problem and come out the other side with their own answer, not one that was handed to them in 2 seconds by a chatbot. AI is going to be everywhere by the time Jaxx is old enough to use it. That’s not a maybe. My concern isn’t the technology itself. It’s what happens when we let it replace the process of actually thinking. When kids never learn to wrestle with a problem because the answer is always one prompt away. So yeah...
