This is a picture of my Grandparents Jane and James Murphy, my Mothers parents, on their wedding day in 1926, 100 years ago 💚 They were born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1906 and immigrated to the US in their twenties. They settled in Kearny, New Jersey, proceeded to have 6 children (3 girls and 3 boys, just like my Mom had and just like I had...what are the chances of that??!😊) and are responsible for a big loving Murphy family whose Irish pride runs deep ☘️💚 And this past year was a very special one indeed for me because I was able to visit Belfast Ireland twice and walk Townsend Street, the street that Gram was born on. I’ll be back in November to do the same and couldn’t be more excited about that ☘️ These 2 overcame a tremendous amount of hardship during their lives. And throughout it all, they maintained their faith and humor….
