LIFE-SAVING REUNION: A Midland Park teen reunited with two borough police officers this week after they helped save his life during a medical emergency in 2025. Officers Mark Berninger and Matthew Shea responded on Nov. 29, 2025, to find 15-year-old Aidan unconscious and not breathing and immediately began CPR until medics and the Midland Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived. Aidan was taken to Valley Hospital, then transferred to a New York City hospital, where he spent several weeks and made a full recovery.
