Idris and Sabrina Elba are taking visionary to the next level. 🌍✨ Just named on the National Geographic 33 list (recognizing 33 changemakers across the globe), the couple is transforming Sherbro Island, Sierra Leone, into a sustainable “eco-city” of the future.  The island may have just 40,000 residents, but it’s rich in natural resources— miles of pristine beaches, sparkling lagoons, and abundant fresh water. At the same time, locals face challenges like limited electricity, scarce internet, and farmers and fishermen struggling to sell their goods. Through the Elba Hope Foundation and the Hope Power Project, they’re electrifying the island, building wind and solar farms, training locals, and helping farmers access credit and sustainable practices.
