Time for another Buddy Bison School Highlight! 🕐 Last month, 2nd graders from Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School visited Hidden Oaks Nature Center in VA for their program, "A Real Bug's Life, or There is No Such Thing as Can't to an Ant.” 🪲 Students got a closer look at the life of insects by comparing and contrasting different orders, habitats, feeding styles, and social behaviors. Through experiences with live specimens and a bug walk, students explored the diversity of insects in an urban woodland and learned about the important roles insects play in their ecosystems.
