♻️ Thank You, Apache Junction! ♻️ A big thank you to everyone who came out to our Household Hazardous Waste Day last Saturday, March 14! Your participation helps keep our community clean and protects our desert environment. 🌵 We had 277 participants attend the event. Together, we collected an incredible 26.8 tons of material—that’s about 53,600 pounds diverted from landfills and improper disposal! Here’s what the community helped recycle and safely dispose of: 🧪 11.8 tons of household hazardous waste (paint, gas, oil, chemicals, and more) 🚗 10 tons of tires 💻 3 tons of electronic waste 🧊 2 tons of white goods (refrigerators, water heaters, appliances) 📄 Plus a large amount of confidential documents safely shredded on site Events like this are only possible thanks to the community and our partners.
