Before the end of #HispanicHeritageMonth, we wanted to highlight bfmgeorgetown. Today, they are performing to the piece Las Alazanas, a song from the state of Jalisco. The traditional costumes of Jalisco consist of the skirts adorned with brightly-colored ribbons, and the arm movements of Jalisco are particular to this type of costume as the women extend and wave their arms to accentuate the movement of the heavy skirt.
Join BFMG on December 3rd at their end of semester showcase, Posada, to see dances from the states of Jalisco, Tamaulipas, Chiapas, and Chihuahua.
