RECIPE BELOW 🧅🧀🤎
the BEST of BOTH WORLDS— soup and a crostini in one delicious bite! These French onion soup crostini make for the perfect COZY BITE for your upcoming Thanksgiving and holiday hosting. I know carmelizing onions can be tedious but it’s so worth it—You’ll try these once and know what I mean! My recipe is also VEGETARIAN friendly!
Recipe:
—on medium heat, add butter, sliced white or yellow onions, salt, red wine vinegar, balsamic glaze, vegetable stock, and thyme
—mix low and slow for 30-40 mins until the liquid is gone and the onions have a nice caramelized color
— shred the gruyere cheese and slice the French baguette
— cover the bread slices in olive oil and to bake at 350 for 10 mins until golden brown
— take out & top with caramelized onions and a generous amount of cheese
— bake for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted
—finish off with fresh thyme garnish and enjoy! I SWEAR it tastes just like French onion soup in a little bite
