For EVERY registered car in the United States (there are currently over 260 Million), there are at least 3 parking spots. That’s A LOT of space that could be used for housing, among other things. For those who might not know, minimum parking requirements dictate the number of parking spots required for each building; these rules frequently require much more parking than is needed.
