What’s my must-do recommendation when visiting Florence? ✈️ I spent a month traveling Italy. My home base was Florence. I saw a lot of the country, but hands down my favorite experience was watching the sunset over the city from Piazzale Michelangelo with a bottle of wine. 🌅 Locals recommended this experience and it didn’t disappoint. It was a perfect way to end my month spent admiring the city. The Piazzale Michelangelo is free to visit. The square sits on a hill on the south bank of the Arno River. It offers a stunning, panoramic view of Florence. After watching the sunset, I recommend walking over to Flo Lounge Bar (about a 2-minute walk).
