5 reasons you should add Shem Creek to your list when visiting Charleston, South Carolina ☀️ 1. Water recreation One of the best ways to explore Shem Creek is on the water! Launch your boat, rent a kayak or paddle board, and enjoy a day on the water. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including birds, turtles, and otters. 2. Waterfront dining Reserve a table outside and enjoy the water, views, and good eats. We ate at Tavern & Table. It was excellent! 3. Waterfront bars While waiting for our table at Tavern & Table, we drank in the outdoor area of Saltwater Cowboys. The live music and tasty drinks made the wait fly by! 🍺 4. Shem Creek Boardwalk After your meal, walk on the Shem Creek Boardwalk to take in the views of the marsh and harbor. It’s even better to walk during sunset! 🌅 5. Dolphins So many locals told me that at sunset dolphins swim in the creek. I didn’t see any while there, but it would’ve completed the whole experience!
