12/11/18 🎉🍾🥂 SCREAMING HAPPY 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO thebeautedistrict!!! . On this day 2 years ago, I took my very first clients. I didn’t have any furniture yet, just my bed & light. . Seems like yesterday I was just driving by thinking I couldn’t afford a storefront & was soooooooooo scared!!! And look at us now...surviving a whole pandemic 🥺 It has been a rough year & we’re still in it, but that’s part of entrepreneurship & I would not change a thing! . I remember someone asking me if “doing makeup” was my “real job” & if I only “did it on the side.” Ohhhh boy did that fuel me even harder! . Now the narrative has changed to “that’s amazing that you get to do what you love, make your own schedule, & travel the world. I wish I can do that, but I’m stuck at a job I hate.” . To anyone with a dream, DO NOT let anyone make you feel less worthy when you are starting off.
