Some Jersey lawmakers are so mad at ICE they introduced a bill called the “F🤬CK ICE Act” that would make it easier for people to sue the feds over violating their rights. The “Fight Unlawful Conduct and Keep Individuals and Communities Empowered Act” is just one of a bunch of bills in Trenton that would make federal immigration officers subject to lawsuits for abusing their power, ban them from wearing masks and tax private detention centers. It was sponsored by Democrats katiebrennanfornj32, ravibhallanj and rajmukherji. One Republican lawmaker,votebergen, didn’t find it funny.
