Deputies patrolling Castaic contacted a male later found in possession of drug paraphernalia. A search of his vehicle resulted in the recovery of a rifle, methamphetamine and loose ammunition. The male was arrested for possession of a firearm by an addict and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the station and later released on bond.
