Firebirds, Katy Perry, & Chipotle. Story time below⬇️ When I think about the Lakota West Firebirds the two things that come to mind are Katy Perry and Chipotle. When I made the decision to focus on punting my junior year, that summer I spent a lot of time on this field because my kicking coach held his training sessions here. So after summer lifting my best friend and I would make the drive up 275 to train multiple times a week. Some hot summer days when we needed a little pre kick juice the only thing that would do the trick would be blasting some Katy Perry “Firework” After training, to treat ourselves for a solid day of work put in, we found ourselves with a fat burrito and lemonade in a water cup at the chipotle right by the high school.
