HOME DESTROYED: A two-alarm house fire in Uniondale displaced a family of six as flames tore through a home near Davis and Park avenues. The Nassau County assistant chief fire marshal said the home was already engulfed in flames when crews arrived. The Uniondale Fire Department, located directly across the street, responded immediately. Ally Johanson, who witnessed the fire, said her partner, a Uniondale firefighter, rushed in to help as the scene unfolded.
