Of course BTS’s comeback outfits looked incredible, right? The looks for this BTS stage were created by Korean designer Songzio (songzio_official). Song Jae-woo, the designer and head of the brand, explained that the stage outfits were meant to portray “new heroes who carry the turbulent history of Korea in both body and soul while carving out a new future.” Since this comeback album is titled “Arirang” and is deeply rooted in Korea, the meaning behind the outfits for their first comeback stage feels especially fitting. In an interview with WWD, Songzio also shared that he wanted to express “han,” the uniquely Korean sense of sorrow and emotion, and portray the members as heroic figures moving toward the future through chaos. The collection was created under the concept of “Lyrical Armor,” inspired by traditional hanbok and early Joseon-era armor.
