🇬🇧 Why did St. Francis speak of “Brother Sun” and “Sister Moon”? In Episode 8 of Universal Fraternity, Cardinal Peter Turkson reflects on the Christian vision of creation. St. Francis spoke of the world not as a collection of resources to be used, but as a family of relationships in which human beings share a common home with the rest of creation. For Francis, fraternity extended beyond human society. Everything in creation was connected to the human person—and therefore worthy of care. This insight continues to shape the Church’s understanding of integral ecology, reminding us that environmental questions are never only technical problems. They are also questions about how we understand our place within the wider community of life. 📺 Watch the full episode: youtu.be/gqJrTTWCpOk #UniversalFraternity #IntegralEcology #LaudatoSi #StFrancis #catholicsocialthought 🇮🇹 Perché san Francesco parlava di «fratello Sole» e «sorella Luna»?
