A blast tore a crater into a hillside inside Jerusalem's Old City on Friday, scattering debris just metres from some of the world's most sacred sites — Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre — after Iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel. Israeli police said the blast was caused by a "missile impact," with a warhead containing dozens of kilograms of explosives. Israel's foreign ministry condemned what it called an Iranian "attack on the holy sites" sacred to Judaism, Christianity and Islam. One person was evacuated with minor injuries. Air raid sirens sounded across Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as the attack unfolded. Iran has been launching missile barrages at Israel since a US-Israeli bombing campaign began on February 28. #Jerusalem #OldCity #Iran #Israel #MiddleEast #AlAqsa
