The latest news brings a small victory with the non-profit behind the development proposals at Jonathan Dickinson State Park pulling back. However, the fight is far from over. The decision-makers in Tallahassee have yet to retract development plans for other state parks, make clear that golf courses are off the table at JDSP, nor have they made it clear that they will protect our parks from future proposals that go against the mission of the Parks Service. As a filmmaker and photographer with a deep passion for the outdoors and a proud Florida local, I knew I had to do something.
