“Student Engagement allows me to engage with a lot of people. I feel like it was the perfect job for me because it took me out of my comfort zone.” An international student originally from Colombia, Talitha Agudelo has enjoyed her time working with Student Engagement at the Plano Campus. Her journey with Collin College began when she started taking English as a Second Language through Collin College Continuing Education. Now, she will graduate in Spring 2023 with an Associate of Arts in the Business Field of Study. Her work with Student Engagement not only brought her recognition as a student leader at Collin College, but she was recently honored as the 2023 Region IV Outstanding Student Leader from a Two-Year Institution by NODA, the Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education.
