Frieze London’s (@friezeofficial) Focus section shines a light on the most exciting young galleries from across the globe. This year’s line-up includes four new galleries, all leading names amongst London’s new generation of gallerists who offer a fresh take both on London’s art scene, and the fair itself. Elephant sat down with all four galleries and their artists and asked them how they were feeling about Frieze 2023. Harlesden High Street (@harlesdenhighstreet) is about as anti-establishment as a gallery showing at Frieze can get. The gallery opened in 2020, but gallerist Jonny Tanna (@jonnytanna) has been organising shows in Harlesden since 2017 – Harlesden is a far cry from the blue chip mecca of Soho.
