🌏🛰️We’re kicking off our Earth Observation for Resilience & Humanitarian Aid training this week in Vienna!🇦🇹
Earth observation (EO) is no longer niche: it’s essential to humanitarian action, disaster preparedness, sustainable development, and climate resilience.
That’s why over the next 5 days, colleagues from across the UN system🇺🇳 will gain hands-on skills on using satellite and geospatial data for:
📍 Crisis monitoring
📍 Needs assessment
📍 Environmental analysis
📍 Resilience planning
The goal: help the UN turn data into faster, smarter, more coordinated action when it matters most.
🙏 to our partners in delivering this training— the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (unuinweh), and Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) partners (agenziaspazialeitaliana, cnes_france, germanaerospacecenter and europeanspaceagency).
This will be a week of learning, collaboration, and innovation 💪
