This past weekend, as part of theportauthority_ny_nj centennial, we worked with openhousenewyork to give New Yorkers an inside look at historical points of interest in the Oculus—including the MTA E Train Subway Corridor and First Responder Door pictured here. Before 9/11, commuters traveled daily through this space. Today, it maintains the same purpose and design. Many of the materials were preserved from the original World Trade Center, including the travertine floor, signs, fixtures, and this door marked in orange. #OHNYwknd #HistoricNYC #NYCTours
