It’s Head of the Charles week!!!! 🚣‍♀️ The largest rowing race in the U.S. is in Boston this weekend. Come down to the river, check out a beer garden, cheer on rowers with some cowbells, and get some snacks! It’s the biggest tailgate you didn’t know existed. 🗓️ Racing runs Friday, October 17 through Sunday, October 19. 🕦 Each day the first races kick off around 7:45 a.m. and continue into the afternoon. 🛎️ Where to watch (aka ideal cowbell-zones): Start line / BU DeWolfe Boathouse & BU Bridge — see the launch and early stretch of the race. Magazine Beach / Singles & Doubles Launch — a slightly calmer spot with good views. River Street & Western Avenue Bridges — great for the “Powerhouse Stretch” where boats move fast. Weeks Footbridge — famous 90° turn point; lots of drama (and crowds). Anderson & Eliot Bridges / Finish Zone — ideal for catching the final push.
