Throughout my entire softball career I was always told by my coaches to not play with such passion, to not show too much emotion, to not appear cocky, to act like you’ve been there etc. As a result, I have always struggled to find my identity as a player… then I experienced unbearable tragedy which led me to discover & accept who I was always meant to be. A passionate player who outwardly shows emotions both good & bad (we’re all human). Since then, I have never been so happy to succeed on the field while being who I truly am.
