Curious about racing? Here's where to start:
1.Pick a distance that excites you — not what sounds impressive. 5K is real racing. So is the mile. So is an ultra.
2.Give yourself 6–8 weeks. Not to be perfect. Just to build rhythm.
3.Practice one “race effort” workout per week. It teaches your brain what uncomfortable feels like.
4.Show up early on race day. Walk the course. Breathe. Watch people warm up.
5.Don’t wait until you feel ready. Nobody feels ready!
You don’t have to win.
You don’t have to prove anything.
You just have to line up.
And if you want to win?
That’s allowed too.
