On February 3rd, Jumoke Academy middle school scholars had the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Observance at the University of Hartford. Our Jumoke Drumline, featuring scholars from both middle school campuses, opened the program with rhythm and soul. Under the guidance of their drumline instructor and music teacher, Mr. Isaac Monts, scholars set the tone for the celebration—highlighting unity, collaboration, and the power of collective voice, values that Dr. King stood for.
In addition, select scholars from JAH-SMaRT attended the observance as recognition for their high growth on the NWEA MAP Assessments, reinforcing that academic excellence opens doors to meaningful, real-world opportunities.
✨ This experience reflects The Jumoke Way: Ready to Learn—where scholars are academically prepared, artistically expressive, and confident in engaging beyond the classroom through enrichment, performance, and achievement.
