And so the bathtub saga continues! After living with the tub for about a month, we noticed that it felt quite bland compared to the other fixtures in the room. As I was mindlessly thumbing through the pages of the 1902 Sears and Roebuck catalog, as one does on their free time, I came across an ad for these bathtubs. I was excited to see that they weren’t as plain as I’ve seen them in most restorations. They actually had a few “racing stripes” for a lack of a better word. We decided to paint some on in the same color as our ceiling. I absolutely love the way that it turned out. I have a little more lining up to do but I just couldn’t wait to share it with you. Who knew that a few simple lines could make all the difference?… I mean did, but it still blows my mind. 🛁
