What I love most about Abby Jimenez’s writing is how she invites you into the lives of complex, deeply human characters. She doesn’t deal in simple “good guy vs. bad guy” dynamics. Instead, she shows how messy, painful, and complicated real life can be—and how people can make harmful choices while still being deserving of empathy. This story really emphasizes that life is about choosing who you want in it, what you’re willing to fight for, and what is actually healthy for you as an individual. At its core, the story begins with a single moment: Larissa at a concert, faced with a choice between two guys—Mike or Chris—and which one she’ll go home with that night.
