Murphy, a 12-year-old German shepherd-poodle mix, is one of the more than 50,000 dogs in the Dog Aging Project. The nationwide study tracks how dogs age. Anderson Cooper watches as Murphy undergoes testing to assess his physical and mental fitness. In one test, Murphy is shown where a treat is hidden and then, seconds later, allowed to retrieve it… if he can remember where it is. He fails on the first try, too anxious to complete the task.
