Rescue workers from the League for the Protection of Birds in south-west France have released the last rehabilitated puffins back into the Atlantic after a catastrophic winter.⁣ ⁣ Successive storms battered the Bay of Biscay this season, washing exhausted and starving birds ashore in their thousands.
