Welcome to the second week of the Class of 2024 #CountdownToCommissioning! ⚓️⚓️ This week, we are taking a look into how the mids train for a career in the Naval Aviation community. Midshipmen who are assigned Naval Aviation as their career choice are enrolled in practicum and core engineering courses centered around their future career, teaching them many of the skills and knowledge they will need as Navy Pilots and Naval Flight Officers (NFO). In addition to this and the many aviation mentors available on the yard, the mids also have the opportunity to practice their skills in flight simulators for both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft to help prepare them for when they report to flight school in Pensacola, FL! 🎥: 1/C Dan McMann, Kobe Nguyen
