“Pre-Game Reflection”
I spent a lot of time during tournament week in the locker rooms with select teams. GCA provided a unique environment as with 4 daily games often were teams preparing in unique spaces.
In my experiences I aim to gain permission and trust first and foremost. Behaving as a fly on the wall, utilizing my silent electronic shutter and often crouched or tucked in the corner as players prepare and coaches present their gameplan. I appreciate being able to showcase athletes in a space not commonly seen, how they prepare, how they reflect following a win and how these photos compliment the overall gallery.
My go-to lens in these situations was a
