It’s been a week…
I was feeling so good, I’d been super consistent with training, journaling, self care and meditation… then boom! I crushed my fingers 😫😫😫
5 hours in A&E and a surgery to remove 3 nails and some shattered bone later and I’m on a long road to recovery. ❤️🩹
I’m actually impressed that this is my first proper injury in 13 years of pole and it was such a freak accident, if I’d landed my hand a couple of inches to the left I would have left with nothing more than a bruised knee (and ego) which is pretty standard for pole.
Is it going to stop me poling? Temporarily whilst I heal… yes but long term absolutely not!
The comeback is always greater than the set back so they say. And the truth is that things don’t always go to plan, I wanted to compete this year but there’s always next year. So time to refocus and rest for a few weeks before the return to pole commences ☺️🫶🏻👯♀️
