I really feel like as a society we are obsessed with finding love and starting a family… but this creates so much unnecessary pressure. What’s wrong with just being? … being present, becoming obsessed with building your own life, one where having community is important, but where your happiness isn’t dependent on that… what if we could create our own happiness first & foremost 🩵. I’m in a relationship but I still prioritise alone time & solo trips… why? Because I am my own source of happiness, yes my relationship is important but it isn’t the centre of my world. Going on solo dates / trips allows time for reflection and most importantly it allows us to reconnect to ourselves! Meaning that we fill our own cups first which builds confidence & self-esteem.
