Tel Aviv, Paris and Singapore named the most expensive cities in the world as published recently by the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU). The study compares the price of 200 main services/products in 173 cities around the world, across categories such as food/drink, utility bills, transport, entertainment, etc. The price data is then weighted against the USD. Ranking shows Tel Aviv at the top of the list with joined number 2, Paris (from 1st position last year) and Singapore, followed by Zurich, Hong Kong, NY and Geneva. London ranking 17th.   The study found that global cost of living Increased by 3.5% in 2021. A substantial rise compared to +1.9% the year before, partly down to disruption in supply chains, leading to shortage and higher prices. Cost of petrol also contributed to this rise.
