Sustainability - The real estate industry is starting to take a leading role…about time some would say. There are many ways we can individually reduce our carbon footprint, through the products we buy, how we travel, but also where and how we live. The industry as the whole (developers, architects, designers, etc.) is getting under increasing political and social pressure to use the latest technologies and create more sustainable homes at affordable prices. Buyers are gradually demanding it too. We’ve noticed in the past 3/4 years a mindset shift amongst some of our clients, increasingly looking for more eco-friendly homes. This has been exacerbated with covid lockdowns, the need for outdoor spaces and be at one with nature. There is also an investment and financial aspect behind it. Imagine trying to re-sale a diesel car in 5 years time 🤯….and rightly so. The same will happen to non eco-friendly homes in the future.
