Who is buying in France? 60% of second home purchases in the country are made by international buyers.
If we break down the nationalities of those foreign buyers in France, way ahead are the British, making up 48% of non-resident buyers. In joint second place are American, Belgian, and German buyers (10% each), followed by Swiss (8%). The final 14% are made of other nationalities. The South of France remains the favourite for international buyers of prime and super prime properties, followed by Paris and the Alps.
It’s important to make sure you are being properly advised when buying into a market outside of your own residency. A buying agent will manage the acquisition from start to finish on your behalf, protect your interests throughout, as well as finding your dream property. Be safe. Be represented. Save time.
Have a great day!!! 🥐🌊☀️
