Last week Boris’s announcement on potential international travel from mid June triggered a frenzy in flight bookings as expected!!! 😎 However, others have also decided to play it safe and are opting for a second year of staycation 🇬🇧. Either ways, I would suggest you pay a visit to Asthall Manor in Oxfordshire. The stunning Jacobean manor house is located in the hamlet of Asthall on the edges of the Costwold and is renown for its beautiful landscaped English gardens and woodland that overflows into the Windrush Valley.   The house dates back to the early 17th century but underwent modernisation in the early 20th century. It was around this time that it became home to the Mitford Sisters, whose Father David Freeman-Mitford inherited the property in 1916.   The gardens were designed by the very talented isabelbannerman and are opened to the public twice a year (check their web site for latest info).
