Aperitif time ~ A beloved tradition in most Mediterranean countries with France, amongst others, leading the way. It is the time of the day when we stop, either before lunch, but mainly before dinner to have a drink with colleagues, friends, neighbours, family, at the end of a working day and unwind. Typically a glass of wine or spirit, and usually paired with light appetisers: olives, cheese, nuts, saucisson, tapenade, etc. It is so common within the French culture and amongst people, that the French government had to change their curfew rule mid-January from 8pm to 6pm, as they realised that people were still gathering after work for aperitif, contributing to the spread of Covid...
