This feeling felt while navigating the divorce process is incredibly hard to share. It’s real, raw, and the first time I truly felt the enormity of my past and present. I experienced guilt, shame, and embarrassment for failing in my marriage and letting our daughter down. I repressed sadness, hurt, and pain. I kept things to myself, lived in survival mode, and stayed achievement-focused until I couldn’t anymore. I knew I needed to do the work, process, and move through it. Therapy wasn’t enough; I had to work on myself deeply, for not me alone, but our daughter to break the cycle. I am a work in progress, through I am growing into completely different person, one whom who holds self autonomy, boundries and empathy for self, it’s a daily process of radical acceptance. If you're experiencing separation or divorce, as a result of unprocessed childhood trauma, please know you're not alone. Be gentle with self and ask for support. I Understand. ✨🪶 #divorcerecovery #singlemum #...
