As part of #FSUDiscoveryDays and the Milton S. Carothers Faculty Lecture Series, Jayur Mehta (#FSUAnthropology) presented "Stories in the Shell: What Ancient Mounds and Shell-bearing Landscapes Teach Us About Climate, Culture and Resilience" at Strozier Library earlier this week. This lecture discussed climate variability's effect on ancient shell mounds, or heaps that primarily consist of discarded mollusk shells, which can tell us quite a bit about the way ancient humans lived.
