A chair can be an object that we view only for its functionality. A non-object… we sit down, we do our task and move on. Later in the day if asked what color it was, we couldn’t say. - A chair can also captive us, move us with its form, it’s materials and juxtaposition. - Whether it does one thing or the other to a person, it doesn’t change the object. - For me, in this season of my life they are vessels for telling stories.
