Sometimes the frame surprises you. I was chasing the curve of the mother’s neck, trying to catch the light as it slid down her back — and somewhere in that split second, the camera found her calf instead. Things move so fast out in the wild. Dust, wind, shadow … and life. Sometimes I stop trying to control it and just let the camera and my intuition take over. This time, it gave me something quieter, something softer. A young giraffe, caught in her mother’s silhouette. A reminder that focus isn’t always where you think it should be.
