The green bush viper resembles a wingless, mythical dragon. These tiny squamous dragons can't breathe fire but are speedy and skilled at taking out prey in milliseconds with their hemotoxic venom. Camouflaged in viridescent keeled scales that end with wicked sharp points, bush vipers have a prehensile tail, meaning they can easily hang onto branches upside-down. Living as the smallest member of the viper family, these dragons habitat rainforests in West and Central Africa. Currently, no antivenoms are available for this species, but antivenoms from other species are helpful in cases of severe envenomation. 'Atheris Squamigera' The wildlife collection is a symbol of hope, supporting conservation organizations across Africa. —— © #DeannaDeShea Fine art inquiries—deannadeshea.com #CanonWildlife #WildlifePhotographer #GreenBushViper #KenyaWildlife #SnakePhotography #AfricaWildlife #NaturePhotography #ReptileLove #Biodiversity #WildlifeEncounters #CanonPhotography #KenyanSafari #Serpen...
