I welcome the judgment .The Supreme Court of India has said it clearly. You cannot deny women officers Permanent Commission,
then judge them on that very denial.
Flawed ACRs. Pre-decided outcomes.
And then questions on “merit”.
This isn’t just discrimination ...it’s systemic bias.
I personally feel that, it’s a big win for equality.
But it also exposes a hard truth
Merit was never the issue. Mindset was.
Time for accountability. Not just acknowledgment.
This is for each and every woman officer in uniform: your journey was never meant to be easy, but it was always meant to be extraordinary. When systems doubted you, you still delivered; when opportunities were delayed, you still stood taller; and when merit was questioned, you answered with performance, dignity, and unwavering courage. Remember this no flawed report, no biased mindset, and no delayed recognition can define your worth. You are not in the Forces by exception; you are there by capability. Stand firm, lead with confidence...
