I’ve been freelance for 10 years now and the flow of work is still as impossible to predict as it was when I first begun. In a lot of ways it offers you so many more freedoms but on days like today when the sun’s shining and I’ve been pulling long hours all week, all I really want to do is hang out with my kids and go to the beach. Reality is that I’ll be sitting right here and racing deadlines all weekend. I shouldn’t complain though given that we’re deep in an endless lockdown in Sydney and there’s lots of folks who have been denied their ability to earn a living right now. I’ll stfu and be thankful that I love my job and overall I wouldn’t have it any other way. Hope you’re having a fun weekend out there and for those of you who are on the tools today, I feel ya. #freelancelyfe
