Of all the people who collected my work during the five year journey of creating the (UN)Forgotten collection, I thank you. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for believing that art could have a greater purpose- to say something. Also- thank you for still loving me after those five years and add another five of complete insanity, pain and abuse. Thank you for welcoming me back, after the many falls on my face. So many of you would ask me, “are you ok Pamela?” “It feels like we’re losing you”.. I wasn’t ok. I lost myself. I carried the trauma and the pain for so long. I truly lost sight of who I was in the terror of delving so deep into the tragedy of 69 women who went missing and were found brutally murdered in my back yard- the downtown east side of Vancouver.
