Growing up, “grown” was what they called you when you were out of line…. Too much attitude. “You think you’re grown, huh?” But you realize later in life that being a GROWN Woman 🎙️ hits different. It’s the choice you make in the face of fear. The tenacity when life gives us hard things. It’s channeling pain into purpose, solving problems on an adult level, and being the bigger person... again and again. It’s making choices that serve everyone while learning the hardest lesson of all: you’re no good to others when you don’t choose yourself first. Last week, I had the honor of producing “GROWN WOMAN” with shannonwalkerallen and watching her create space for these raw, unfiltered stories reminded me why this work matters. The intimacy.
